Our Terms & Conditions

When you place an order with us, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are relevant to all products and services provided by Starlight Beds Ltd via our telesales department or the website. The terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights

General

1.1 Every order placed is contractually binding once your order confirmation has been received. It is at the discretion of Starlight Beds Ltd to accept or decline the order.

1.2 When corresponding with us using any form, you must quote your order number and postcode.

1.3. Starlight Beds Ltd has the right to amend and change the terms and conditions at any point in time. These can be related to but not limited to payment methods, legal changes, delivery, and all other subjects.

1.4 All items are provided with a 12-month manufacturer's Warranty (subject to clause 7)

1.5 All mattresses we produce are delivered vacuum packed, rolled and boxed.

Cancellation

2.1 If you need to cancel your order or make an amendment, please contact Starlight Beds Ltd directly by phone or email at least 24 hours before delivering your item.

2.2 You should allow up to 5-10 Working days for the refund to show in your account. This is from the point of cancellation, as long as the goods have not been dispatched.

2.3 If your order has already been dispatched with our courier and you want to cancel the delivery, please use the couriers' details sent via SMS to amend, rearrange or cancel the delivery.

Exchanges and Returns

3.1 Your product comes with a 14-day money-back no-quibble return from the day you receive the goods. However, some provisions apply.

3.1.1 The goods must be in their original or suitable packaging 

3.1.2 Any item that has been assembled may not be returned unless the item is defective or incorrect; items must be returned in an unused state.

3.2 Defective or incorrect items – If the item is defective, we will need to verify this; please understand that the customer's liability is on providing clear and precise images before arranging a return or exchange. You are required to provide images.

3.3 Incorrect and defective items will be replaced for you if sufficient evidence has been provided.

3.3.1 If the item has been damaged by yourselves or is damaged from the incorrect use of the item, this will invalidate your Warranty, and we shall not be able to replace the items

3.4.1 When arranging a collection service for your damaged or faulty goods on the agreed date, you must be available on the date and time arranged and agreed. Ifthe  collection is missed on more than two occasions due to failure to be available, you will be liable for any further costs to collect the goods.

3.4.2 To ensure the smooth return of the product, please fold the mattress using suitable tape to secure it. The item does not need to be in its box.

3.4.3 The customer must choose and pay the courier. We know my Hermes, parcel monkey, and parce2go will be happy to help. You are fully entitled to use any courier of choice, and all returns are at your expense.

3.4.4 Any mattresses that has been used and it has passed the 14-day money-back guarantee cannot then be returned

3.4.5 We do not accept liability for items defective from fair wear and tear, damage by the consumer, negligence, or damage from a third party

3.4.6 We will not be held responsible for damage from failure to follow assembly instructions and repairs/alterations you have carried out in your capacity.

3.5.1 – We will not be offering any compensation for the journey. This includes but is not limited to money for fuel, courier expenses, time off work and all other related matters

3.5.2 – All parts, fixtures and fittings must be returned. Any parts damaged during transit will be chargeable with the cost deducted from the refund when returned to us via your courier arrangements.

3.6 You remove the right for a refund if you dispose of the item before it has been collected or returned.

3.7 Refunds are not issued before the collection of goods.

3.8 If damage does occur and you do not oblige to the above policies and open a dispute, we can require payment for wasted costs for collection

3.9 Once again, we remind you that you have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products received (all the original packaging is left with you), and if you breach this, we have the right to be compensated for the breach

3.10 Allow up to 5-10 days to return the funds from the collection point.

3.11 You are also subject to 3.6

4.1 All images, drawings/illustrations, sizes and descriptions advertised on our website or the product packaging are created to give you an approximate idea of the items we provide on our website.

4.1.1 All our goods and services descriptions are updated regularly, and we provide the most suitable descriptions of the item.

4.1.2 All the goods are manufactured according to industry standards. This includes mattresses following all the UK fire resistant guidelines and policies.

4.2 All items will be provided with the specification as detailed in the description.

4.2.1 Starlight Beds Ltd will make all efforts to match colours and stitching to all the finishes on the item, however in some instances, colours and stitching may vary

4.2.2 Depending on the climate conditions, colours may change

4.2.3 Concerning 4.2.1, mattresses' bodies may vary; however, mattress specifications remain equivalent to the descriptions.

4.3 All images that are on the website are digitally created, and therefore depending on the medium you are viewing them on and the settings, images may present themselves slightly different

4.4 In sporadic cases, Starlight Beds Ltd will provide items that have minor description and specification differences. However, they will be similar to the item you ordered. This will only occur if your item is unavailable for dispatch for any unplanned, unforeseen circumstances.

Delivery

5.1 We use a designated delivery service to deliver most of our items. 

5.2.1 Our supplier will contact you to arrange delivery on most occasions. However, it is at their discretion
5.2.2 Rarely they will select a delivery date that is suitable for the courier and shall notify you when it is reasonable for them to deliver.

5.3 Starlight Beds Ltd shall make all efforts to deliver the order within the time frame that has been requested or confirmed. Moreover, we only provide estimates and are not guaranteed. However, for reasons out of our control deliveries may get cancelled or may not be delivered and we shall rearrange for you

5.4 Our couriers shall only deliver to your delivery address.

5.4.1 To prevent fraudulent transactions, you will have to provide proof of ID that you are registered at the billing address if you would like to change the delivery address. A utility bill, driving license or passport copy would suffice for us to change the address

5.4.1.1 It is at Starlight Beds Ltd's discretion to change the address, and we have the right to decline to change the address

5.4.1.2 Once the item is dispatched or routed, the address cannot be changed, and if you would like to change the address, it may incur a charge for redelivery

5.5 We offer a FREE delivery service to Mainland UK

5.6 We will fully insure all your items when being delivered to you

5.7 If you miss delivery of an order that has been confirmed, you may incur a charge for a redelivery

5.7.1 If the courier service does not deliver your item, we will not be liable for any time taken off work or other costs that occurred as a result.

5.8 Deliveries through the festive periods and national holidays may incur an additional charge

5.9 When you have ordered multiple items, you may have two or more deliveries because some items may come directly from the suppliers and others supplied by our in-house courier. We will do our utmost to ensure that the items are delivered on your specified date

5.10 If there are any restrictions to access the delivery address, it is your duty to notify us and provide the necessary information

5.10.1 You must make sure that the delivery to your address is obstruction-free

5.11 When placing an order with us, we do not accept any responsibility for any damage to your property during delivery or negligence caused by the couriers.

5.11.1 We will not be liable for any repairs or costs concerning all subject matters linked to

5.12 We do not offer any service to dispose of old beds or mattresses as well as removing the packaging

5.13 Starlight Beds Ltd will share your delivery details and contact information with its couriers. Our couriers will use your contact information to allow you to select a delivery date of your choice, call you a day before arrival and make bookings suitable to your needs. Customers can opt-out from our couriers using your information to contact you to make delivery arrangements, call our offices or email us before or after your purchase

The Order

6.1 Once the goods are delivered, they will be your responsibility

6.2 Concerning 3 and 4, we will not be liable for any storage costs that you incur whilst we exchange or collect

6.2.1 This also applies if our courier service or supplier has sent out the wrong item/s

6.3 Occasionally, when vacuum packed and rolled memory mattresses arrive, they naturally give off a chemical smell as they are manufactured using polyurethane and other chemicals. These are organic compounds, and you will need to let the product air for at least two days and allow up to 7 days in rare cases.

Manufactures Warranty.

7.1 With all our products, you have also secured a FREE 12 months manufacturer warranty. The Warranty starts from the date you sign for the delivery of goods.

However, some exclusions do apply

7.2.1 – We will also not be responsible for damage from failure to follow assembly instructions and repairs/alterations you have carried out in your capacity

7.2.2 – Carrying out your own repairs or attempts to reconstruct any parts.

7.2.3 – Damages through misuse, negligence or third party

7.2.4 – Inability to provide sufficient proof or evidence of the extent of the damage.

7.3 The product is covered by the Warranty solely for manufacturing defects. The Warranty does not state the item can be returned within the 12 months warranty for a full refund. Starlight Beds Ltd will ONLY replace the parts or product in question. No alternative product will be offered. It is at our discretion if we repair or replace the product. We will take care in making our professional and accurate judgement when auditing your concerns

Force Majeure and Limitation of Liability

8.1 Starlight Beds Ltd is excluded from all liability related to any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any obligations under a contract that is caused by events out of our control

8.2 The total liability whether negligence or any other losses would be limited to the value f the order

8.2.1 This includes but not limited to profit loss, consequential damages, expenses, lost income, third party claims etc

Data Protection and GDPR

We comply with all the statutory requirements of Data Protection Act 1998 as well General Data Protection Regulation and all your personal information is confidential and secure. Your information will never be shared or sold to any third party.

Governed by UK law

The contract is governed by laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction to settle disputes.
